Several students are influenced and changed by another person. Many people in Plymouth High School look up to their elders for wisdom and experience.
Freshman Sydney Espich said that she was influenced by five star coach Casey Martin in her seventh grade year when she first met him. She said that one day she may teach her children the same things that he has shown her. Coach Casey has helped Espich meet new friends. Espich said that she used to be a very sad person, but when she met coach Casey he helped her be the person who she is today. She believes that he has changed her life for better.
Senior Sidney Listenberger said that the “most influential person in my life is my best friend’s mom, because she made me a stronger and kinder person” Listenberger also said that she would “probably not” have done the things that she does now. Listenberger also said that she hopes that she has influenced people to be kinder. Listenberger also said that maybe her best friend’s mom might change her future. Listenberger also said that she thinks that her life is “most definitely better.”
Senior Miranda Gayheart said that her fiancé is the most influential person in her life because he gave her the confidence to do a lot of things she would never do before. Gayheart said, “I raise my hand to answer questions and read in class, I moved out of my parents house, I eat more, I smile, and my priorities are different.” She said that she thinks that he has changed her life for the better. Junior Nadia Baca said that the most influential person in her life is her dad, because he raised her and her brother by himself. Baca also said that if she had never met her dad she would not be as hard working as she is now. Baca said that she thinks he has changed his life for the better.
Junior Cheyenne Himes said that her fiancé is the most influential person in her life. Himes said, “Everything about me has changed. My life has been so much better.” She also said, “I don’t really know if I have influenced anyone else, but I know I have influenced him. He has changed so much for the better.”
Senior Spencer Uyhelji said that Alexys Monette is the most influential person in his life. Uyhelji said, “I gained confidence in myself, started to love myself even more, and started to like others a bit more easily.” Uyhelji also said that he met her on “November 11, 2012, and the rest is a mystery.” Uyhelji also said, “I believe that I influence people all around me.” Uyhelji said that he thinks that she has changed his life for the better.
Sophomore Adrianna Enders said that her mom is the person that influences her the most is her life because as a single parent, she still takes care of three children and manages to work a full time job. Enders said that her mom has influenced her to stand up for herself and not let anyone push her around. Enders also said that she has always been there for her and helped her through a lot of rough times. Enders said that she thinks that her life has changed for the better.
Many young adults are swayed by the influence that adults can have on them. Many people in Plymouth High School look up to their elders for wisdom and experience. Listenberger said that she hopes that she has influenced others to be kind to everyone.
