PHS Academic Award Ceremony

Twice every school year PHS has an Academic Award Ceremony. Students are awarded  for their astonishing effort that they put forth towards their academics.

Mr. Condon presented a great speech explaining the difficulties students go through to achieve these high academics. He wants
all of Plymouth High School to understand what kinds of effort students put in their work. At the ceremony students were recognized for their empower scores, speech achievements and students that stood out above others in the class were mentioned as students of the month. Students were also recognized for several other academic achievements. Freshman Allegra Davis was surprised when she received the award of spell bowl accuracy and said, “I was proud to be a part of something like Spell Bowl.”
Many of the students appreciated the award that their teacher had given them. When Junior Blake Miller received his award, he explained his thoughts. “Mrs. Glaub is the coolest teacher.” As well as appreciation towards the teachers, the main objective of this ceremony was to show students that PHS does appreciate and recognized those special students. These students are those who are rising above their other classmates in the effort of making exceptional achievements. Senior Kylie Ludwig explained that she liked the ceremony because “They actually acknowledge the hard work we do as students.”
For most students they have to put forth a great deal of effort to make these achievements. With other students, this act comes easy. Sophomore Zachary Lee said, “It comes natural to me.” Whether it comes easy or not, PHS is proud to award all of it is high honored students for accomplishing such things.
