Senior Samantha Rose Veronica Grant has overcome many obstacles throughout her life. One quote that Sam lives by is, “One day scissors will be for paper again. One day razors will be for shaving again. One day food will be for eating again. One day cutting will be arts and crafts again. One day sadness will be temporary again. You will recover.” This quote speaks volumes to Sam. With her parents being separated and having to constantly go through many obstacles it was difficult for Sam to have a normal childhood.
To make up for her difficult childhood, Sam has made it her future goal to own and operate her own daycare. Sam also states that she “wants to change someone for the better.” With Sam’s drive towards the care of children and her emotions towards many inspirational movies, she has become the loving person she is today. Although Sam is the youngest of nine, her father has encouraged her to pursue her goals and fight for her dreams. Sam has faced obstacles, but focuses most of her thoughts on getting through life.
Sam then states that she has “lots of regrets” and wishes to “change her future for the better” by moving to Michigan after she graduates from Plymouth High School. She then plans to go to Southwestern Michigan College for 2 years and later transfer to Lake Michigan College. Sam hopes to get her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and her associate in business to pursue her dreams of owning her own daycare.
Throughout Sam’s life, she has gone through many obstacles, but she still manages to be a caring and loving person. Sam is the type of person who only wants the best for future generations. She has shown her optimistic personality through her love of children and willingness to continue through hardships.
