Homecoming Spirit Excites the Student Body

At Plymouth high school has a Homecoming week. This week contains activities.

The PHS Pep rally will take place on September 26.  Junior Kaylee Haynes expressed her thoughts on the pep rally. She said “Everyone is super pumped and jacked in one small area and it is awesome.”  Haley Harrell said, “I love the pep sessions! The pep rally is so much fun! rally is so much fun! Getting loud and crazy and coming together as a student body..” Shania Northern shared the same thoughts. She said”,”“YES!!! I love prep rally days they are so much fun and you get to see how much school spirit everyone can have.” Senior Pietro Bologna said, “Yes, because [it’s] the first time I do a pep rally!”

 

Throughout the week students have opportunities to show “the” rockies support as well as help a good cause.  Haynes said students support a good cause by “bringing in lots of pennies for the penny war. Not only is it doing good for the Riley’s hospital, but it is also a good way for our school to come together to do something to make a difference.” Sophomore Andrew Holiday said, “Convincing my friends to join pep club with me and go to games.” Harrell said, “I’ll be in the stands on Friday night cheering my heart out. I love the Rockies.”

Some students enjoy the DJ in the cafeteria; some do not. Junior Adrianna Enders said,“I think it is awesome.” Junior Simone Yates said, “It is pretty awesome with great music and a PE teacher that I adore.” Freshman Jewel Brown said, “I love it! I think we should do it more often.” Sophomore Sierra Strickland said, “I absolutely love it! Music is the only thing that keeps me positive

throughout the day, so having it at lunch with Coach V is great!”  Sophomore Felicia Dixon said, ”It is too noisy.”

Some students at PHS enjoy  homecoming and some do not. Homecoming is a week of with dress”-”up days. There is also a prep rally on Friday for teachers and students. Students also bring in pennies to donate to Riley hospital.This is Homecoming week for PHS.
