While Plymouth High School students have a four day weekend, they also get the opportunity to have some fun by attending the annual Surfin’ PHS filled with excitement.
Surfin’ PHS is an event during the dreary winter days of February where students can get together at the school to have fun and burn off some energy. This is sponsored by the PHS Spanish club. Señor Button [club advisor] said, “It’s an old tradition that was started way before I came to PHS and I want to continue with the tradition.”

It costs 15 dollars to attend and there are many interesting games to get involved in. Activities during Surfin’ PHS are such as the popular 3 on 3 basketball tournament, the inflatable games, corn hole, food and drinks, music and dancing, magic show and the main event, the hypnotist, which starts at 11pm.
The main purpose of this event is not to make a profit, but rather to give the PHS student body something to do during the winter months. Button said, “It is also a place where they [students] can play basketball, run through obstacle courses, and watch their friends do [foolish] things with the hypnotist.”
This event will take place this weekend, Friday, February 15, from 7pm to midnight. Señor Button hopes to have many students attend this event to have fun and enjoy themselves with friends.
