Since the release of the Xbox and the PlayStation, avid video game players have been fighting over which gaming system is preferred. Students in Plymouth High School have been disagreeing on what system is preferred as well.
Three of five students interviewed said they liked Xbox, and the other two students said they liked PlayStation. All sources gave reasons why they like the system. Freshman John Hunter said, “[I like] PlayStation because you don’t have to pay to play online.” On the other hand, Freshman Blake Carbaugh-Keefe said, “[I like] Xbox. It has a much wider selection of games than the PlayStation.” This is another opinion why someone likes the Xbox over the PlayStation.
More than half of the people say that the “war” between both systems is pointless. Junior Eli Wendt said, “I think they’re both pretty much the same. I could do with either one to be honest.” Junior Mason Reed said, “I think it’s perfect because we always have something to argue about.” Senior Clay Corsbie said, “I hadn’t really even realized that there was a war. Quite frankly they should just combine the two companies and their designs.” About half of the people interviewed say they do not like the war. The other half say that they do like the war. All in all, the war is different in everyone’s eyes. One person thinks it is one thing, and someone sees differently, so they give their opinions. Each person is entitled to his or her own opinion, thus causing this war.
