A great place to kick back with a good book at Plymouth High School is the Media Center. Students can find books on every shelf along with students seated at tables and in chairs all over the room with a good book in their hands, and their minds in the story.
Unwind a book found in the Media Center caught the attention of one student. Senior Morgan O’Neal describes how she finds a book in the Media Center, “You just look for the letter of the last name of the author at the top of the bookshelves in the library. If you don’t have a specific author, you just look around.” Looking around is just one way to find books in the Media Center. One could also ask a friend to see what book or books he or she might recommend. A Boy Called It was one of O’Neall’s favorite books. Sophomore Brittani Allison agrees with O’Neal on the book, “A Boy Called It.” Allison also likes to read books. When Allison is looking for a book in the Media Center and does not know where it is, she ask anyone that is in there. When it comes to books that other students might like to read Allison suggested the genre, “Mystery stories.” There are hundreds of other stories in there as well, just waiting to be read.

While mysteries may appeal to several PHS students, others prefer those of a different genre. Sophomore Sal Bustaman is reading a book called Black Water. When Sal Bustamante is looking for a book he searches for it on the schools site, where there is a link to the Media Center. When asked who to go to for advice on a book, who to turn to when looking, or checking a book out, Bustamante mentioned, “Mr. Mayer.” Mr. Mayer works in the Media Center and can help anyone out when it comes to looking for a good book.
The Media Center offers a wide variety of books for students to read. One simply needs to take the time to check one out.
