The severe weather has been impacting the United States since the beginning of summer. Tornadoes, hurricanes and thunderstorms bomb down on the land, causing thousands of dollars in damage. The weather this year has been much worse.
Senior Stormy Yoe described about what her classification of good and bad weather would be. She answered, “Good weather, for me, would be cool out and bad weather would be unbearable heat.” Another question, if she had any family living on the eastern coast. She replied, “No, majority of my family lives in the mid-west.”
Another senior, Cody Snyder, answered a question about if he could change the weather, what would he change it to. He answered, “If I had weather powers, I would make it about 70 degrees every day with some nice sunshine peeking through the clouds.” Another question, if he had to live through a severe weather situation, what would it be. He replied, “If I had to live through severe weather, I think a tornado would be the most interesting, especially if I lived on a pig farm, then the swine flu would be flying by the gusts of wind brought up by the tornado. ”
English teacher Mrs. Mercer quoted when asked about her opinion on the weather, she said, “It is really quite scary. It seems we are not getting any breaks with the severe weather.” When asked if she had ever experienced severe weather before, she quoted, “I’ve been through a couple blizzards and was in Kalamazoo, Michigan, at a track meet when a tornado went through. We went into the school and had the meet after it passed.”
Sophomore Alexandria Rust answered a question about how she is enjoying the weather, she said, “I like to be outside with my little brothers.” Another question on did she pay attention to the weather, she quoted, “Yes, I love watching the weather.”
Weather is always impacting the United States and other continents across the globe. We can not really do much about it except to warn people about incoming severe weather, example like hurricanes, tornadoes, thunderstorms. Nothing really can be done when Mother Nature is pounding down.
