Davis Bougher has big dreams for the near future. He hopes to become a photographer or work in graphic design.

Davis said, “Student Publications helps me with my career choice because it offers experience and allows me to test my skills in this area.”

The college Davis wishes to attend in the future is Indiana University, Bloomington. He knows that IUB has a nice, neat campus, which makes it a comforting setting. Davis has done research on IUB and found out that they have an amazing journalism program, which makes the school fitting for him.

Davis said,  “They have a very good program for journalism that covers a wide range of topics I’m interested in, such as photography or graphic design.”

He has been in Student Publications since the fall of 2016. One of his major accomplishments that he is proud of is maintaining good grades and excelling at school. He is focused on his studies with the goal of earning a good education and a rewarding career.

Davis has been in Weidner School of Inquiry since his freshman year. In his time in WSOI, he was able to develop changes, which has helped him work better with others and produce more effective work. Changes he wants to see in others regarding producing more effective work are people being able to compromise and come up with better solutions for problems they may face.

Being in Student Publications means that Davis is able to use most of his hobbies. His hobbies include photography, writing, and making music. He began to get into photography and writing during his last year at Lincoln Junior High. Regarding music, Davis produces more relaxing and laid back music. Davis feels that being in student publications can also help his writing skills, as he works on the yearbook and the school newspaper, and he hopes to write exceptional articles for the newspaper. He also feels that yearbook offers the opportunity to get a similar experience to his career that he wishes to pursue.
