Teachers Get Little Smiles From Their FTA Elves

Elves are usually found building toys in Santa’s workshop or baking cookies in trees, but they can also be found at our school. These elves are the Future Teachers of America.

There are many students that are planning to be teachers in their future.  Junior Lindsey Holloway says “I really like kids. I think I would really enjoy spending my whole day with them.” FTA is a club that does many things. FTA helps students obtain a grasp on how a teaching career can work. FTA members go to different schools within the cooperation and observe and work with a teacher. Talking about the job shadowing a teacher, Junior Kendall Cooper says “I love the field trip at the end of the year’.” The elf program is something that the students of FTA do annually.

Unknown Artists Have Their Time to Shine

Art is a talent that a lot of young adults are finding in themselves everyday. People everywhere are using this discovery so they can show the world what they can create. More and more artists are becoming known, but there are many artists that have not become fully recognized for their creations. Luckily, a lot of these talented people are located right here at PHS.
