Shoes are very fashionable these days and are important to some people. Most may think that shoes complete the whole look of an outfit, but others may think it does not.
Senior Nate Kolter says he prefers Polo or Sperry over other shoes. He also said that he believes that people should wear shoes that always match what they are wearing that day. Some agree with Kolter. Sophomore Stacy Diaz said that she always wears shoes that go with her outfit. Stacy also said that she prefers Vans and Nike over other choices of shoes in a store.
Most people say that they have to match because if they do not match then they feel out of style. Others think it does not matter what the shoes look like even if they are not ‘brand name’ shoes. Sophomore Sierra Keaton said that shoes complete the whole look of one outfit and that she believes that the shoes you wear should always match the clothes you wear. She also said that she prefers to wear either Nike, Osiris, DC, Adidas, or Uggs.
Freshman Maria Herrera said that if her shoes do not match her outfit then her whole day feels off. She also said that if she could she would wear sandals all year long. Some people may think that shoes do not matter but to others shoes are a huge deal. Maria said that she prefers Vans over other shoes.
Freshman Luis Martinez said he prefers Nikes over any other shoes. Luis also said that he thinks that ‘brand name’ shoes last longer, but others disagree. Junior Cheyenne Himes said that if she likes the shoes then it does not matter if they are ‘brand name’ or not. Cheyenne said she has no shoes that she prefers over others.

English teacher Mrs. Ring said that she wears whatever looks good in the store and that most “off brand” shoes look better than “brand name” shoes. She also said that her shoes style changes every day based on the color of clothes she wears. Mrs. Ring says that her preferred type of shoes would have to be Doc Martens.
The SOSS teacher, Mrs. Sherwood said that she prefers to wear slip on shoes than any other kind of shoes. She says that they are way more comfortable and they are good to wear when you are working all day in a building where you have to walk around and help people with their work. She also said that slip on shoes are better to wear because they are easy to put on and take off .
Some people have very different opinions on fashion styles and some think it does not matter what people wear it just matters if that person likes it. Himes said that if she likes something she will wear it even if others dislike it. There are very many different opinions about shoes. Junior Madison Woods says that she only wears what she think will get attention. People have different opinions and people have different styles.
