Mrs. Leslie Condon is a returning FACS teacher at PHS. She originally left to stay at home and care for her children. Now, three years have gone by and she is ready to teach again.
Mrs. Condon began pursuing a career in education to study childhood obesity and fitness. She enjoys teaching students skills and lessons that will help them in the world outside of high school. She decided that FACS offered the potential to educate children on how to keep themselves healthy physically, mentally, and emotionally.
“I thought a great pathway for me to educate children on how to take care of their bodies might be through nutrition,” Mrs. Condon said.
Mrs. Condon’s favorite moment as a teacher so far has been seeing students present their iAM Brand projects, where students get to show their strengths and interests. She enjoys seeing students be passionate and excited about their work. She believes strongly that being fun and open in the classroom can help students open up and be more comfortable in class.
Mrs. Condon is an alumnus of Plymouth High School. She says that being a teacher is a much different experience from being a student. According to her, this has allowed her to appreciate the school she once attended even more. Some of the teachers who were teaching when she was a student are still working at PHS.
Mrs. Condon says it is fun to work with them in a professional setting now. She also feels that working with her father-in-law as the principal is an interesting experience. She believes that overall Plymouth High School is great because the staff is fun and students are interesting and hard working.
