Along Came The Mayflower…
From what our records show, The Mayflower has been around since 1910. We are now on our 100th publication and every book is completely created by the students at Plymouth High School, devoted to putting all their talents and creativity into the yearbook.
The students document student life, activities and other events that take place outside of school. The importance of getting every student that attends PHS involved is critical. Each student has their own assignment on covering the events that are important to be remembered.
WE DEDICATE THIS YEARBOOK TO..
Through the years each yearbook has been dedicated to a teacher or persons that has helped out immensely with the yearbook or even made the slightest difference in the making of it. For the longest time, the yearbook was created by the Senior class each year. However it is no longer that way, as students of any grade level can join the PHS yearbook staff. The yearbooks were paperback and all black and white to begin with. Not much has changed in the tradition of creating the yearbook each year in black and white with unique covers, but The Mayflower yearbook is hardback and, from year to year, the design and theme changes. Occasionally, there was a yearbook that added a little bit of color. Maybe to the Seniors pictures or just the headlines in each spread. There will be previews of yearbooks over the decades available within the website soon. Below is a list of some of the people that the yearbook was dedicated to when it first started and the exact year.
