And on Friday, everybody shows solidarity by wearing PHS\u2019s colors. It is Homecoming.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nFor some students, homecoming is all about the dress up days. Others are just fired up for the pep rally on Friday. Senior Madison Good was fired up 100%.<br \/>\nSenior Kaitlyn Lenne thought homecoming was \u201cAbout an eight out of ten. I do like the pep rally but I think too many people take it too serious. It is suppose to be fun for everyone not competitive.\u201d \u00a0Sophomore Cassandra Quissell \u00a0comments, \u201cThe best part about homecoming is the Pep Session on Friday! It&#8217;s so fun to see all the classes compete for the Spirit Stick!\u201d \u00a0Sophomore Brittany Banks just says, \u201cPEP RALLY!\u201dThe senior class of 2012-2013 won the spirit stick, and celebrated their victory by jumping about with their classmates and congratulating each other on winning.<br \/>\nHowever, the pep session is not the only reason why students are so fired up all week. Dress up days bring students the opportunity to dress silly for a reason. To get their class one step closer to the spirit stick, and to have fun.Sophomore Haley Harrell says, \u201cI LOVE dressing up for the dress up days! So fun!\u201d<br \/>\nFreshman Gabby Garver says, \u201cThe best part about homecoming is getting to dress up in crazy outfits all week long.\u201d \u00a0While in the hallways, I saw many students with fun outfits that looked like they took a while to piece together. \u00a0Sophomore \u00a0Emily Gadziola comments, \u201cIt took me about 30 minutes to get ready.\u201d With all the complicated and crazed outfits aside, there is one more thing that makes homecoming amazing.Homecoming queen contestants are also a big part of homecoming.<br \/>\nSenior Kristi Pacheco says that when she is going to elect a homecoming queen, she looks for \u201cher attitude, her personality and her beauty.\u201d \u00a0\u00a0However, sophomore Kirstin Riise, comments, \u201cI like when they are all dressed up and looking nice next to the guy.\u201d \u00a0Junior Kyle Barry says, \u201cThey were all perfect candidates, so I just picked one.\u201dThe homecoming queen election outcome came out on Friday, at the exciting game of Plymouth vs. Wawasee. Abby Schumacher now holds the title of the 2012-2013 homecoming queen for the fall. PHS\u2019s football team won Friday night against, previously mentioned, Wawasee.
