A love for something can begin at a very young age. \u00a0For example, the purchase of a new camera may spark an interest in photography. \u00a0For junior Rolando Martinez, the love for music began with a Christmas gift.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I was four years old, my uncle bought me a drum set for Christmas,\u201d said Martinez. \u00a0At that point his love for music sparked. \u00a0His love for music may have started when he was four, but according to Martinez, he did not begin to record any of his songs until he was a freshman.<\/p>\n

To record the songs that he writes, Martinez uses his own recording studio that he has in his bedroom. \u00a0According to Martinez he began to create his recording studio back when he was in junior high. \u00a0Little by little, he saved up all the money that he was making and Martinez said that, \u201cbit by bit I started buying recording equipment. \u00a0I built it [recording studio] in the place where I enjoy being the most, which is my [bed]room.\u201d \u00a0Martinez also says that he probably has, \u201cmore recording equipment in there than bedroom items.\u201d<\/p>\n

Like many famous artists, Martinez writes his own music. \u00a0According to Martinez, he writes songs based \u201con things that are occurring or happening in [his] life.\u201d \u00a0There are multiple music genres. \u00a0Each artist writes songs based on the genre that he or she likes. \u00a0Martinez says that he loves \u201cincorporating my own style into hip hop music.\u201d<\/p>\n

Martinez has showcased some of his songs. \u00a0He says that with some of his songs he likes to, \u201ckeep to myself and many of my music I like to share with people.\u201d \u00a0There has been only one time in which Martinez has showcased his talent for a school project. \u00a0He explains that he and a friend, \u201ccreated a french hip hop song for one of our French [tech] projects.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
