During this time of the year, the leaves turn from  vivid green to red, to\u00a0 yellow, orange and brown. \u00a0It is also a great  season for important holidays such as Thanksgiving and Halloween. Fall  is here and students reflect on the first cooler season of the school  year. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Junior  Mariah Harty made a statement about the length of fall break. She said,  \u201cNot really. Two days off? That\u2019s not a break.\u201d The meaning of fall to  her is cuddling on the couch with a blanket and some hot chocolate.  Harty also wants fall break to be longer.<\/p>\n<p>Senior  Priscilla Hammonds stated about what fall meant to her. She says that  \u201cFall means falling leaves, raking leaves, pretty colors, Halloween and  Thanksgiving.\u201d Hammonds enjoys Thanksgiving and she quoted, \u201cI love the  food and the family time.\u201d The one thing she would like to during the  fall season is jump in a pile of leaves.<\/p>\n<p>Senior  Ricardo Soto quoted about his favorite thing about the fall season, \u201cI  like fall because I love wearing sweatshirts and playing in the leaves.\u201d  Soto made a statement about his plans for fall break, \u201cI plan on  enjoying the weather and my hot chocolate and grandma\u2019s cooking.\u201d Soto\u2019s  favorite seasons are summer and fall. Summer because he gets to go  tanning and go boating, but during fall he enjoys the cold weather and  straight chill through his senior year.<\/p>\n<p>Senior  Zach Mahan made a statement about his favorite thing about the fall  season, \u201cThe qualities that I love most about fall is the falling  leaves, the carving of Jack- O- Lanterns, Halloween decorations and  treats, and Thanksgiving of course!\u201d Mahan would like to go to a corn  maze and a pumpkin patch. Mahan is ready for fall break and he quotes,  \u201cAfter all, seems like each day flies by quickly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fall  will end just as quickly as the other seasons, so the students of PHS  are making the best of this wonderful season and their fall break.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Shelby Harty Every year, fall arrives in the middle of September and the cool weather and harvesting Mariah Harty enjoys the views of fall.
