Photo by: Patricia Ortiz-Corona<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Valentine\u2019s Day is a special day for everyone, because it means hanging out with friends or family.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is just a day to have some fun and feel the love\u201d is what Valentine\u2019s Day means to \u00a0Junior Alex Jaggers. Senior Courtney Cox thinks that Valentine\u2019s Day means love. Mrs. Ruth McCollough says, \u201ca time to think about loved ones.\u201d Mr. Coffman says \u201csonnets, red roses, romantic comedies, candlelit dinners, and commercialism\u201d is what he thinks Valentine\u2019s Day means to him. Sophomore Kelsey Fish mentions \u201changing out with my friends and family\u201d as what she thinks Valentine\u2019s Day means to her.<\/p>\n<p>Receiving presents on Valentine\u2019s Day often means a lot to someone. Spending time with loved ones is the best present anyone could ask for. Fish normally get presents from her mom and dad. For Mr. Coffman, the best part of Valentine&#8217;s day is getting a Valentine\u2019s Day card from his great-grandmother. Mrs. McCollough says she rarely gets presents; she mostly gets thoughtful gestures. Cox says, \u201cevery year I get a present from my dad.\u201d Jaggers comments, \u201cI get presents from everyone, and I also get little candies.\u201d Valentine\u2019s Day is a special day to get presents &#8212; they can be things like stuffed animals, candy or Valentine\u2019s Day cards, but it is the thought that counts the most.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone likes to do something fun for Valentine\u2019s Day but, some people like to relax at home. Fish comments that she likes to watch TV on Valentine\u2019s Day. Mrs. McCollough likes to dine out and go on a rare short get-a-way trip. Cox says, \u201cI love to relax and watch romantic movies on the Lifetime movie network.\u201d Jaggers says doesn&#8217;t do anything special on Valentine\u2019s Day.
