Photo contributed By: Elizabeth Polstra<\/p><\/div>\n<p>By Maria Ortiz<\/p>\n<p>Whether one has a Valentines or not they can still celebrate and how one celebrates is up him or her.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Junior Elizabeth Polstra celebrates Valentines with her loved one. Polstra said, \u201cI celebrate Valentine&#8217;s Day doing something nice with my Valentine.\u201d Polstra said that her plans for this years on Valentine\u2019s Day is have dinner and spend time with each other. \u201cThis year for Valentine&#8217;s Day, my boyfriend and I are going to South Bend to have dinner and watch a movie.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Not all people have a Valentine but they still celebrate with their friends and loved one\u2019s like sophomore Jasmine Baird. Her plans for this year were to celebrate with her friends. Photo contributed by: Jordan Kelly<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Senior Jordan Kelly said she\u2019s given and received Valentine\u2019s Day gifts. Polstra said she also gives and receives presents but she also does something special for those she loves. Polstra said, \u201c I even do little things for my close friends and my family so they know I love them.\u201d Some people give valentines to a special one and receive from family or friends. Koontz said she receives from her loved ones. \u201cI have once given a little elementary crush a big box of chocolate and a cute little card. I have also gotten a gift or two some years from someone other than friends and family.\u201d<br \/>\nEveryone has a different meaning for Valentine\u2019s Day, like senior Anthony Boener who said that the meaning for him is a more historic than opinionated.\u201cIt&#8217;s the anglicized version of the old Latin name &#8220;Valentinius&#8221; which is derived from the Latin word for &#8220;strong&#8221; or &#8220;worthy.&#8221; \u00a0It is most known for the being the name of many Christian saints.\u201d For senior Tanner Virgil it means \u201ccelebrating the day with someone that you love\u201d Freshmen Ashly Deleon said the meaning for Valentines is not only being with your Valentine.
