People quite often choose fast food over freshly cooked home made meals because it is quick or easy, and as a result, PHS sophomores have been studying ways to keep a healthy diet. They watched a movie called “Super Size Me.” They also had a nutritionist come in and talk to them about maintaining a healthy diet and what it takes to take to gain or lose a calorie.

Sophomore Blake Milliser said he likes fast food, but he does not consume it more than two times a week. Milliser says that his favorite place to eat at in town is Taco Bell. He likes fast food because it is fast and it is food. He prefers the drive-thru because it is fast.

Shelby Pratt seems to be a little more picky when it comes to fast food. Pratt does not eat fast food more than once a week because she thinks it is too greasy. She often goes to Dragon Express and Burger King. The favorite fast food she has found is the smoothies at Burger King; the mango is the best to her.

Austin Bottorff thinks fast food is good, and he does in fact eat fast food two or more times a week. Bottorff’s favorite thing about fast food is that it is cheap and convenient. He frequents Penguin Point. The best thing he has found in Plymouth is Crazy Bread from Little Caesar’s. One last thing he likes about fast food is the drive-thru because it is a lot faster.

Shannon May does not eat fast food more than two times a week. Her favorite place is Wendy’s; she loves the french fries and the Frosties. She likes the drive-thru and her favorite thing she likes to do with her food is dip the french fries into the Frosties.

Elliot Eads does not normally eat fast food more than two times a week. His favorite thing about fast food is that it is cheap and easy. McDonald’s and Taco Bell are the places he likes to eat best. He says it depends on if he is in if a hurry if he wants to go to in and eat or go through the drive-thru.

Ryan Maresca says eating fast food depends on if his mom is cooking or not. Taco Bell is his kind of place to eat because it is fast and it is hot. The best item he has found in town is the Cinnamon Twists at Taco Bell. He says he would rather walk in and sit down and eat.

Mr. John Barron is the head football coach, health teacher and weights teacher; he does eat fast food and he does in fact like it. Mr. Barron likes that it is fast but not so much for all the fat in it. King Gyro is in a place he has taken a liking to. King Gyro offers a Gyro plate which is Mr. Barron’s thing he likes to eat but he does say it is very unhealthy. Mr. Barron would rather walk into the restaurant and sit down and eat.

  1. I agree with this. Fast food is very helpful for people who don’t have much time to make dinner, even though it is less healthy then a good home cooked meal.
