Not just numbers and equations. It actually has to do with real life examples.” Lindsey Downs and Morgan Hill mentioned that probability and outcomes of situations are a part of the class also. Mr. Rust says, “I guess from a teacher’s perspective it seems like it is much more applicable than most other math class….lots of real world.”

Danielle Becktel said, “I recommend Statistics class. It is a lot of fun.” Hill says that her fellow classmates are close, love being together, and learning with Mr. Rust. Chris Eberly’s opinion on the class is, “[It is] an awesome senior math class.”

There are many different purposes to this math class. Felke states that, “[You acquire] skills you can use in the business world for analyzing many different things such as finance, accounting, etc.” Like all AP classes, an AP exam is required. If the final score is three or higher, college credit hours are earned by the student. Otherwise, the credits only count to your high school career. To enroll in this class, students must complete all the prior math classes such as Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, and Pre-Calculus.

By Layne Holloway The Statistics class is a math class normally taken by seniors.
